We won this commission for the refurbishment of two Grade II Listed Buildings and creation of a new building to provide a total of 9 residential units and one restaurant. The new building designed by Afterhourstudio Architects is part of a larger development in the heart of the City of London.
The new building was designed to provide some contrast to the adjoining buildings while keeping the proportions inherited by its surrounding.
The external facade is made of Cor-Ten cladding panels and Aluminium panels. The windows were designed to provide as much natural light possible while the new structure aims to provide as much flexibility as possible to the internal layout of the residential units.
Other interesting aspects of this development are the use of CNC technology to produce windows and other fixed furniture within this development.
